Are GFI receptacles required throughout the house? According to electrical code, GFI receptacles are required in bathrooms, any place within 6 feet of a sink, and any exterior receptacles. If your now thinking of a receptacle in your home that doesn't meet code, give us a call. Our friendly office staff would be happy to schedule a technician who can not only replace the necessary receptacle, but also ensure the electrical safety of your home.
Is it safe to use extension cords throughout the house? No! If you find your home to be limited on the number of receptacles, the safest thing to do would be to call an electrician. It may be possible to add additional outlets to accommodate your needs.
